Inspired by the Beat

David LEBO Le Batard

If you’ve never seen interactive art in motion, you must attend the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation’s (CIFO) 4th annual exhibition: “Inspired by the Beat” on September 30th.  Watching someone’s passion spill out onto a canvas while being rhythmically in sync with some sick beats is not only impressive, but down right inspiring.

Creative Children Therapy (CCT) is a local non-profit organization selected earlier this year for Ad2 Miami’s 2010 Public Service Campaign.  All event proceeds will go to funding the organization’s art programs, which focus on helping special needs children in the Miami community.

For your viewing pleasure, local Cuban artist David ‘LEBO’ LeBatard will be debuting ‘LEBO LIVE’ – A Multimedia Experience including Live Painting, Video Mixing & Music.  In addition, 23 artists from CCT’s Artistic Realization Technologies program, also known as CCT/A.R.T. 4 Collaborative Works between the Artists of CCT & LEBO will be auctioned off @ event and LEBO’s new coffee table book “Inspired by the Beat” will be available for purchase.

I may be a tad bit biased as David “LEBO” LeBatard was a former flame of mine, but there’s no denying the vibrant energy and color of his work.  So head out and experience a beautiful fusion of art and music while nibbling on some appetizers and taking advantage of a full open bar.  Who knows, maybe you’ll see some work that was inspired by little ol’ me… A girl can wish, can’t I?

CIFO
September 30th from 6:30PM-10:30PM
$20 pre-sale here.

Shiny Shoes Cures the Blues

My ex has this uncanny ability to know when my life is going extremely well; only to attempt to jump back in it and foil all the goodness I’ve been building. (Come on, we all know you’re following my social media & sites for the play-by-play. STALKWARD!)

Anyhow, Monday was particularly manic and had me in a serious funk, so my sparkly and ever so shiny Dorothyesque shoes were vying for the spotlight.  All my worries floated away as I skipped to dinner in my disco ball shoes with my brothers to commit a massive amount of carbocide via pasta.  Damn those Italians and their saucy ways!

Labor Daze

On hectic Mondays when everything seems to be going wrong (and to think Mercury isn’t in retrograde anymore?), I yearn for long holiday weekends and reminisce over the crazy memories made during Labor Day weekend.  Rolled out to the lake with my friends on two yachts, a speedboat, and two jet skis.  Much like Vegas; what happens on the boat, better stay on the boat!  Fly like a G6…

Fashion Week, starting a new workout regimen, and catching up with work/projects is consuming my current life at the moment. So farewell Summer, you were fun and games though I’m beyond ready for the Fall.

The second annual Fashion’s Night Out is just about here and all fashion loving fans couldn’t be more excited.
