Whenever I think of Chanel nail polishes, I imagine a little Chanel mad scientist mixing up colors for upcoming seasons and the Wicked Witch of the West, maniacally laughing and thinking, “Oh I’ll get you my pretties.”  Oh you got me alright, completely hooked on these neutral nails for Fall and as if my Chanel obsession wasn’t bad enough already.

Anyways, how drool worthy are Khaki Rose and Khaki Vert?  As with all coveted Chanel polishes, these are limited edition in honor of Fashion Night Out and will be available at Chanel boutiques and chanel.com starting September 10th.  Hopefully I can get my paws on these before then ’cause you know these babies won’t last long at the counters.

America’s Night to Repair

Posted by Kim On July - 20 - 2010

Here’s a heads up to all you skincare fanatics and freebie lovers – On July 22nd from 5pm – 9pm, Estee Lauder will be doing a 360,000 10-day sample giveaway at their counters of the Advanced Night Repair products (serum or eye). The event is called America’s Night to Repair, which is a repeat of last year’s event, but this time including the new Advanced Night Repair Eye Synchronized Complex. If you haven’t heard all the praise from the masses already, stop by and give it a try.

Late nights and insomnia have taken a toll on my tired eyes, so I’ll be giving their new Eye Complex a test drive. Find more information on the event on Facebook and more about the Advanced Night Repair line on Estee Lauder.

Chateau Marmont

Last week before Halloween, a few friends and I headed over to the Chateau Marmont for the Smashbox Studios end of season soiree’ at Bar Marmont.  The theme of the get together was a Masquerade, thus explaining why we look like the Lone Rangers and Animal Farm.  Earlier in the evening, we grabbed dinner over at Bossa Nova while we all reconnected from our SMU days.  The boys imbibed in imported and craft beers, while the ladies loved the red sangria and caprihanas (don’t forgo the cachaca!)

Back at the party, masked party-goers mingled and sipped cocktails in one of Hollywood’s most iconic hide-aways.  I have a love/hate relationship with Bar Marmont.  Let’s explore the love with the intimacy of the space, delish charcuterie platters, strong yet pricy drinks and good people watching, then I hateeeee waiting for the bathroom and for some odd reason, the butterfly filled ceiling seems like a bad sci-fi dream to me.  Will it stop me from pre-partying there with my friends?  Of course not, it’s a hop, skip, and jump away from some of the hot spots LA has to offer.
