Lanvin for H&M Ad Campaign

After a few Lanvin for H&M leaks to whet our palates and then the final release of the look book on the 2nd, fashion loving fans are going wild for the upcoming collection due to release on November 23rd in select H&M stores. Famed photographer, David Sims shot the stunning ad campaign images and video featuring models: Hannelore Knuts, Jane Schmitt, Tati Collitar, Natasha Poly, Simon Nessman and Garance Dumont.

Though it’s one small step for fashion, it’s nice to see some range in the models in ages and sizes. Looks like teenage misfits, fashionistas, and mamas can all rock the same dresses through the use of age appropriate styling. However, did anyone else notice that the curviest model is the one rocking the red tulle Lanvin while on a treadmill? All sorts of wrong there…

Chanel Riva Nail Polish - Côte d'azur Collection Chanel Riva Nail Polish Bottle - Côte d'azur Collection

Chanel has an uncanny ability to produce the most unique and eye-catching colors that not only make men fawn, but also spur nail polish lovers into a fingernail frenzy. This past Cruise Collection 2010/2011 season in St. Tropez, Karl Lagerfeld sent Bardot-esque babes with down the runway with Riva, the palest of pastels which looks literally like a breath of fresh air. The newest nail craze will set to begin when Riva drops into CHANEL stores for a limited time on December 1st, 2010 for $25.

The pure and natural baby aqua blue shade with micro-shimmer is a welcomed change from all the sheer pinks. Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup, wanted to create a playful collection that flirts with the sun: “a sprinkle of sand clinging to golden skin, a little pout under a straw hat, ready to break into a childish laugh”. The Côte d’azur Collection takes inspiration from summertime on the Riviera back in the 70s where “luxury indulges in nonchalance under the saint tropez sun.”

Carefree elegance with effortless free spirit beauty is what the Chanel Riva Vernis evokes. If you fell in love with Nouvelle Vague earlier in the year, don’t worry this shade is a delicate, oceanic hue with a world of difference.

Hi loves, I’m still in the running for… no, not America’s Next Top Model, but even better – Sunglass Hut’s Full Time Fabulous Blogger. It’s an opportunity of a lifetime to become Sunglass Hut’s fashion correspondent to blog about all the latest happenings, events, fashion shows, and of course sunglasses. Imagine all the power lunching at Pastis, then burning off the carbocide while biking in Central Park, a latte at Cafe Gitane while responding to e-mails, mingling and imbibing at The Boom Boom Room, running around the Lincoln Center for NYFW, and jet-setting to Milan and Paris to report back from the runways.

So please help the original “Part Time Lush, Full Time Fabulous” girl nab the job of my dreams and I promise I’ll make this my entire lifestyle. Vote for my video HERE, spread the love by sharing it on Facebook and tweet to your heart’s desire on Twitter.

Victoria's Secret Angels Candice Swanepole and Erin Heatherton Bombshell Fragrance Launch

Dallas is known for our bevy of blondes, yet we’re always welcoming new additions to town like Victoria’s Secret beauties: Candice Swanepole and Erin Heatherton. The lithe supermodels visited Northpark Mall to promote the debut of Victoria’s Secret new fragrance, Bombshell, an aromatic and flirtatious mix of fruity and floral notes. Dallas composed the last stop on their four-city media tour made of Los Angeles, New York, and Miami.

To celebrate the launch, the Northpark store was decked out in a plethora of their signature Victoria’s Secret pink stripes and ever-so-matching peonies that accented the BOMBSHELL fragrance. DJ Locklear spun some top beats to amp up the crowd while onlookers watched the VS Makeup Supermodel Artist Team do their makeover magic on attendees. Shoppers that indulged in VS purchases over $40 received special BOMBSHELL t-shirts and the opportunity to meet-and-greet autograph session with the VS Angels: Candice and Erin. To really encompass the whole supermodel BOMBSHELL experience, a famed fashion photographer was also on-hand snapping cover portraits of guests for their own keepsake photo. The energy and enthusiasm of all the attendees, employees, and Angels was truly electrifying and contagious. Ten lucky winners were brimming with excitement for their personalized Angel experience, one of which could not stop squealing with schoolgirl excitement. I must say, I do indeed I have a major girl crush on both Candice and Erin after the opportunity of meeting and interviewing the both of them.

BOMBSHELL is described as a fruity, floral and aromatic fragrance collection includes notes purple passion fruit, Moscato d’Asti Tuscan grapes, Shangri-la yellow peonies and Vanilla Orchid that combine with the stunning aroma of Italian Sunstruck Pine for a sexy, glamorous and ultra-feminine scent. The collection includes Eau De Parfum, Body Mist, Body Lotion and Luminous Body Powder ($20-$45), available now at Victoria’s Secret stores nationwide and online at VictoriasSecret.com.

Upon review of the new scent, BOMBSHELL reminds me of many limited edition Escada fragrances I had fallen in love with over the years (i.e. Sexy Grafitti, Sentiment, Tropical Punch). Reminiscent of all my past favorites, this scent is cleaner, yet with a complexity from the Italian Pine note. The fragrance wears down well with my chemistry and has long-lasting wear to my surprise. If you’re in search of florals and bouquets with a touch of fruitiness that wears down to a sexy earthiness with an all around fresh and clean smell, then BOMBSHELL is right on the money. Head to your closest Victoria’s Secret and give it a spritz, channel your inner bombshell babe, and report back!

Inspired by the Beat

David LEBO Le Batard

If you’ve never seen interactive art in motion, you must attend the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation’s (CIFO) 4th annual exhibition: “Inspired by the Beat” on September 30th.  Watching someone’s passion spill out onto a canvas while being rhythmically in sync with some sick beats is not only impressive, but down right inspiring.

Creative Children Therapy (CCT) is a local non-profit organization selected earlier this year for Ad2 Miami’s 2010 Public Service Campaign.  All event proceeds will go to funding the organization’s art programs, which focus on helping special needs children in the Miami community.

For your viewing pleasure, local Cuban artist David ‘LEBO’ LeBatard will be debuting ‘LEBO LIVE’ – A Multimedia Experience including Live Painting, Video Mixing & Music.  In addition, 23 artists from CCT’s Artistic Realization Technologies program, also known as CCT/A.R.T. 4 Collaborative Works between the Artists of CCT & LEBO will be auctioned off @ event and LEBO’s new coffee table book “Inspired by the Beat” will be available for purchase.

I may be a tad bit biased as David “LEBO” LeBatard was a former flame of mine, but there’s no denying the vibrant energy and color of his work.  So head out and experience a beautiful fusion of art and music while nibbling on some appetizers and taking advantage of a full open bar.  Who knows, maybe you’ll see some work that was inspired by little ol’ me… A girl can wish, can’t I?

CIFO
September 30th from 6:30PM-10:30PM
$20 pre-sale here.

Shiny Shoes Cures the Blues

My ex has this uncanny ability to know when my life is going extremely well; only to attempt to jump back in it and foil all the goodness I’ve been building. (Come on, we all know you’re following my social media & sites for the play-by-play. STALKWARD!)

Anyhow, Monday was particularly manic and had me in a serious funk, so my sparkly and ever so shiny Dorothyesque shoes were vying for the spotlight.  All my worries floated away as I skipped to dinner in my disco ball shoes with my brothers to commit a massive amount of carbocide via pasta.  Damn those Italians and their saucy ways!
